Dear Colleagues

On behalf of the organising committee, it is my great pleasure to extend an invitation to you and your partner to attend the 63rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.

Philip Grey

We have an exciting programme , one that will have relevance to all of our current and future practices. Our invited speakers will provide an exceptional learning opportunity for all delegates. We have a number of satellite instructional courses planned and you have the opportunity to enrol in an Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (AAFPS) course.

As our theme notes, Perth is a bustling city, driving our growing state of Western Australia. March is a fantastic time in Perth, so expect sunny days with warm evenings. Whilst here visit Fremantle, Cottesloe Beach and Kings Park. After the meeting treat yourself to a trip to the Margaret River Wine region or have a North-West Adventure.

I look forward to seeing you in Perth.

President’s Welcome

Dear Colleagues

Perth is our host for the 63rd Annual Scientific Meeting of ASOHNS in March 2013. The organisers have developed a programme relevant to all ENT surgeons and have invited keynote speakers who are at the forefront of their disciplines, and are great communicators.

John Curotta

Perth is the home of some of the most innovative medical breakthroughs of the last 30 years. It is also a beautiful, dynamic and friendly city and capital of a state which is as large as France, Spain, Germany and Scandinavia combined.

ASOHNS invites all ENT surgeons to expand their ENT skills and knowledge and with their partners enjoy the delights of Perth, one of the newest cities in the world and a gateway to some of the oldest and grandest landscapes on earth.

Scientific Convenor

Dear Colleagues

The scientific program for Perth 2013 focuses both on the fundamentals and on the advances, small and large, that can help us better deal with the challenges we face in daily clinical practice.

Our program is practical and all our pre-conference satellite meetings include hands-on cadaver workshops led by faculties of International and Australian experts.

With our choice of international guests - who are all excellent speakers and authorities in their fields – our lively program is designed to provide you with some ENT pearls and renew your enthusiasm for your practice.

Peter Friedland

There are several satellite meetings including cadaver dissection courses and workshops on Facial Plastics and Rhinology, Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery, Advanced Ear Surgery Course and Sialadenoscopy course. In addition we are convening a Indigenous Ears Workshop and Australasian ENT Physicians Society meeting. This will be supplemented during the conference by instructional workshops and latest research in our free papers section.

Western Australia is booming and forging ahead not only in mining sector but in the medical field as well. We hope you will find your visit inspiring and that you come away with added keenness and knowledge
